Ruella Rouf is a documentary junior editor based in Brooklyn, NY. She often works on character-driven films in the context of race, immigration, mental health, and pop culture. Her credits include Satisfied (Tribeca Festival, 2024), Uncharted (Tribeca Festival, 2023), and 30 for 30: Vick (ESPN Films, 2020). She was a 2020 Karen Schmeer Editing Fellow and is a member of Alliance of Documentary Editors, BIPOC Doc Editors, Brown Girls Doc Mafia, and Asian American Documentary Network.

Prior to working in documentaries, she was a laboratory scientist for several years. Craving to tell non-fiction stories, she abruptly changed career paths and got her start at both PBS and CBS affiliates in St. Louis, Mo. Her work as a digital journalist was cited by CNN, The Huffington Post, and Human Rights Watch.
